HEY EVERYONE!

I'm Chrysanne, a maternity experience photographer, and a mother of two! I'd like to start by saying that I've definitely been in the same boat as you, so you are NOT ALONE. Pregnancy entails a whole slurry of emotional and physical changes. Let's dive into ways to positively embrace your pregnancy and some practical steps that you can take to document it; from the moment you find out you're pregnant, til the moment you bring baby home.

Affirmations to Remind Yourself

I am BEAUTIFUL

Your body won't be the same after pregnancy and that's OKAY. It's the journey that takes you through creating life within your body that matters. Many think of the stretch marks or bodily changes as an empowering reminder that your body created a HUMAN and that these are not scars, rather they are reminders that you are strong.

I'm allowed to have a wide range of emotions

Pregnancy causes hormonal changes and it's okay to be sad about not having ice cream in the freezer!

I LOVE doing ___ so I'm making time to do it

When I was pregnant with my first, I had this new found love of facial care! It allowed me some time to relax by myself, de-stress, and most importantly it helped me to take care of myself. Find something that will help you relax and make time for it!

Allow myself GRACE

You are literally growing a living human in your womb. We are often so hard on ourselves when we're not where we should be. I'm going to tell you that it's okay. It's okay that the sink is full of dishes and the laundry is full. If rest is something that you need, give yourself grace and take a nap.

Like I said before, we are so hard on ourselves and we need to learn to be okay with where we are. Words of affirmation allow us to shift our mindset into a more positive outlook onto your journey.

I challenge you to say at least one of these affirmations a day when you start to feel like you're putting yourself down. Then, let me know! How does it make you feel?
